The working principle of a bin blender is based on a dual-principle blending action: tumbling and
cradle orientation. Initially, the material to be blended is charged directly into a dedicated, often Vshaped or asymmetrical, portable bin. This bin is then securely clamped into the rotary arm or cage
of the main blender unit, and a lifting system raises it off the ground. The first blending action
occurs as the bin is slowly rotated, causing the material inside to tumble over itself, creating waves
and continuous movement.
The second critical mechanism is the cradle orientation or three-dimensional rotation. The rotary
frame, holding the bin, is often set at an inclined angle (such as 15 degrees) relative to the axis of
rotation. As the bin revolves around this axis, the inclined mounting imparts a complex, non-linear,
and three-dimensional motion to the contents. This sophisticated movement ensures that particles
are constantly dispersed, slid, and stacked in unconventional planes, preventing segregation and
dead spots. The combination of simple tumbling and this angled, complex rotation is what ensures a
